Free From Hurt Cont.
Here are the last final steps that I had to deal with in being free from hurt :
Sixth
I had went through counseling before deliverance. After deliverance I began to search for professional Christian counseling. While in the midst of my search, God questioned my purpose for seeking counseling. Was it to reassure and gratify others whom I loved and respected, that I was truly over past hurts or was it something I truly needed? I began to understand that this is a personal decision that is truly between you and God. If you believe God for His leading then truly believe that He knows what's best for you. There are many Christian, professional counselors who are more than willing to help you maintain your liberty from hurt. When I spend time in prayer, God counsels me about matters that affect my heart.
I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons. Psalm 16:7
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV)
Sometimes God will even use others to give you an encouraging word to keep you motivated to move toward Him and away from the bondage of hurt.
Seventh
Don't be afraid or ashamed that others will think that you are not stable when you begin to step out and witness about your victories over hurt.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, sing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Col. 3:16 & 17 (NKJV)
If I must boast, I will boast in the things which concern my infirmity. The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed forever, knows that I am not lying. II Cor. 11:30 & 31 (NKJV)
No matter what they may think or say, you know that with God's help that you are a Survivor. I feel special because I'm chosen by God to witness to others about negative things that have happened to me, not everyone that went through what I've experienced survived. With the Lord's help I have got to maintain deliverance no matter what/who comes against me . I can no longer concentrate on what has been done to me but what God has been done for me. Knowing that I will be hurt again is a reality, and knowing that God will help me through the hurt process is a comfort.
Special Note
The intent for the article was to help bring others out of the bondage of hurt, unforgiveness, hate, anger and malice, and I pray that is what it has done. For those who I have intentionally or unintentionally hurt or offended as you read this article I request and pray that you have sincerely forgiven me. ...bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another, even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. Col. 3:13 (NKJV)
I've discovered that hurt dwells very very deep into the channels of the heart and if permitted its poison permeates through our soul and we will feel warranted to hurt other's because of our hurt, anger, hatred and unforgiveness. BUT GOD, doesn't see this as a justification, being Christians and having His instruction to our avail does not excuse us to destroy others. I have repented and asked for forgiveness for those whom I've knowingly hurt. If you can't do this also, then you are wasting your time by following the steps in this article because FORGIVENESS is the major key.
I thank God for using me in all that I do and the inspiration to continue to do so. To satan I laugh for he is definitely defeated!
Until God moves me again,
Shirleen
While writing this article...
A person who caused many stings in the past, died recently. At first I experience feelings of relief, security, and peace of mind because of the hurts that I'd experienced from this person (I'll call the person Terry). Later, I began to wonder if Terry had found Christ before dying. In my heart began to mourn for Terry, feeling sad because I knew the abuse he/she had encountered as a child. It was hard for Terry to overcome the past and drugs became the comfort to much of his/her hurt.
I wished that I could have witnessed to Terry about God and how He helped me to prevail. While crying out to my husband, I mentioned to him that I don't know why I'm so sad, why I'm concerned about Terry's salvation or why I'm even mourning when you'd think I `d be rejoicing. He said to me that God is allowing you to see that He has healed your heart from the hurt and that you have truly forgiven Terry. Also, the hurt, hate and resentment has been replace with God's love. I thank God for the time I mourned for Terry. Ask yourself would you be able to do the same?
I personally experienced new hurts from people whom I trusted as well as held prominent in esteem. At first I was reluctant to continue this article but I had to remember where my heart truly was when I began to write and who gave me the words to convey my experiences with you. I've never claimed to have "arrived" and it took much consecration to get through this time of being hurt. Realizing that satan doesn't want for us to be released from the bondage that we may be in, I was compelled to continue this article. I followed these same steps until I could forgive those who hurt me because of their misunderstanding. I had nor do I have any hidden agenda for the articles that God gives me to write.
I TRULY WANT FOR US TO BE DELIVERED AND MAINTAIN OUR FREEDOM FROM SATAN, SO THAT WE MAY FULFILL THE WILL OF GOD WITH TRUE LIBERTY.
