The Resurrection, Ascension
and Return of Christ
Jesus had a bodily resurrection.
Jesus answered and said unto them, destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
But He spake of the temple of His body.
When therefore He was risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said. John 2:19-22
... that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Roman 6:4
After His bodily resurrection, Jesus ascended into heaven to present Himself before the Father as the atoning sacrifice.
Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father, but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father, and to my God, and your God. John 20:17
Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: Hebrews 9:11, 24
But this man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God;
From henceforth expecting till His enemies be made His footstool. Hebrews 10:12, 13
CHRIST IS COMING AGAIN !
And when He had spoken these things, while they beheld, He was taken up; and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven. Acts 1:9-11
