You may have had some struggles over the year but you made it
through. Pat yourself on the back, encourage yourself and brace

your year, spiritually, mentally, financially...
Through faith YOU shall conquer!

This issue of ListenUp! is entitled, "God's Plan."
So many times we fail in achieving because we get a glimpse of our
future and it blows our mind. It seems too awesome for us to handle. Our
finite minds cannot see ourselves going to that extent. We start selling
ourselves short, limiting our future accomplishments because we do not
see how it is going to happen. We sometimes look at our past attempts and
see nothing but failure.
I've often said, "God drops our future into our lap, and we look to our
past..."
And because we have failed more than once, we sometimes allow our
failures to determine what we are going to attempt. I've heard it said many
times that failure is an event, not a person. You are not a failure. You may
have failed from time to time but you are not a failure.
In reality, we do not end up failing to achieve, but failing to try
which may result from failing to believe we can. The "how-to" hardly ever
comes to the person who doesn't believe he can. If we are following after
God, it is not our job to figure out how. Let's let God be God and leave it
up to Him to give us the plan. In Proverbs 3:5,6, Solomon states that we
should, "lean not unto our own understanding." God knows the best way
to do a thing and His plan is what will count in the end.
Be sure to:
1. Tell yourself that you are not a failure. (Repeat as often as necessary).
You are very special in the eyes of God and were designed to succeed.
2. Believe that you can do it.
3. Write in a journal the pieces of God's plan that arise in your
spirit.
4. Put the plan to work.
