Worry and Belief Just Don't Mix

As many of us exercise our faith, we realize that there are
battles that must be won in our mind.  It seems that we are
in a constant mind struggle between good and evil, belief
and doubt, pride and humbleness, negative and positive
thinking,...the list goes on.  One thing for sure, if we
are going to be victorious, we have to determine what we
allow our minds dwell on.  I don't know about you but
sometimes it is a struggle to walk by faith and not by
sight.  Our actions and thoughts must reflect what we
believe.

Jesus said, "Whatsoever things you desire when you pray,
believe that we receive them, and you shall have them
(Mark 11:24).

Paul tells the Philippine church to be anxious for nothing
(don't worry about anything), but in everything in prayer,
supplication with thanksgiving, let your request be made
known unto God (Philippians 4:6).

My former deceased pastor used to say, "Why worry if you're
going to pray," and "Why pray if you're going to worry."
If you're going to pray, then you might as well believe by
faith that you have received.  And if you believe that you
received, then why continue to worry?

Whatever it is, don't spend time worrying, spend time praying
and believing, giving thanks to God in advance.  It is also
important to keep our spiritual ears open while we are waiting.
If God is in control, and you have prayed and believe,
then don't worry.

Belief and Worry just don't Mix!
