![]() ![]() ![]() What Are You Thinking About?
![]() Greetings in the name of the Lord.
God is worthy of praise and glory.
He that Hath An Ear, let him hear what the Spirit
saith unto the churches, Revelation 3:6.
In other words, "ListenUp!" ...
This issue of ListenUp! is entitled,
"What Are You Thinking About?"
You've heard it said that you are what you eat. Well how about,
You will become what you think.
Better yet,
What you allow yourself to think on speaks of the
type of person you are.
Are you a pessimistic or an optimistic person?
The optimistic person thinks of the possibilities
and the positive outcome that could arise out of a bad
situation. He concentrates on what he does have - what's
left, and what he could do with what he has.
The pessimistic person thinks negatively and concentrates
on his lack and inability. He mostly thinks of what he can
NOT do. Because he so often dwells on his disappointments
in life and the negative words of others, his view of his
future doesn't look good.
Have you ever realized what you accomplished while your mind
went to that negative place?
The Apostle Paul wrote to the Philippian church to think on
things that are true, honest, just, pure and lovely and of
good report, if there is any virtue and praise, (force your
mind to) think and meditate on these things (Philippians 4:8).
I'm convinced that our performance hinges on how we think.
Great things can happen when our minds are thinking on the
right things.
Find something positive to think on, something that you can
give God praise for. Sure you can focus on the bad, but how
will you perform by doing so?
In the midst of difficulty, elevate your thinking to focus
on the fact that God is still good and in control.
Yes, He is!
