Give Thanks

Greetings in the Name of the Lord.
My wife Shirleen and I extend our thanks
to each of you for being a subscriber to
ListenUp! and for visiting our site.
Make sure you make your holiday a joyous one.
This issue of ListenUp! is entitled, "Give Thanks!"
Thanksgiving is always a time of year in which many of us give thanks
around the dining room table with our family and friends. Usually,
someone prays and gives God thanks before carving the turkey. It's a time
of family laughter and cheer, and before you know it, ... we are stuffed!
This is great! But wait ... What about the other days of the year?
We can have healthier relationships if we do not wait until the holidays
to fellowship with family and friends and give thanks to our God
(isn't He AWESOME?).
My mother once called the family together just to celebrate God's goodness. God
did something for her and she wanted to celebrate God with her family with prayer,
thanksgiving, and family joy.
Let's do what the Apostle Paul tells us:
GIVING THANKS ALWAYS for all things unto God and the Father in the name
of our Lord Jesus Christ; (Ephesians 5:20).
Don't wait until Thanksgiving to give God thanks. Everyday is a day of Thanksgiving!
I know you might not have everything you desire right now but, I guarantee you that
you can look over your life and find SOMETHING to give God thanks for. Try it right now!
Come on, smile and tell God thank ya'!

Just think, things could be worse.
In everything give thanks unto the Lord!
