Prophetic Intimacy

The Lord has reiterated this principle to me over and

over in my quiet time. Intimacy is the key to

Prophetic ministry. If you think about it, how can

we have a word from the Lord if we have not been in

His face? How can we speak the true message of the

Lord if we don't know Him?

The Lord is looking for prophetic people that will

fall in love with Him FIRST before they represent Him

as a messenger. As the deer pants after the water

brook, God's prophetic ought to crave His presence.

I'm convinced that we often give a watered down

message filled with flesh, emotions, and feel good

simply because the passion of being intimate with God

has left us. Everything else occupies our time and

energy while God gets our left over time. And

because of that, we often serve a partially warmed,

left-over message for God's hungry people.

God called Moses up to the mountain so that He can

speak to him face to face. No other distractions,

just he and God.

Sometimes we have to close shop and seek God's face

not just for a fresh word, but to fall in love with

Him all over again. A good uninterrupted session of

passionate praising and worshipping the Lover of your

soul helps you to draw closer to Him.

The closer we draw nigh to Him in our private time,

the more we loathe the fleshly things that are void

of God's presence.

And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine

heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy

might. Deut. 6:5
